Grow sales with the team you already have
After three decades in sales, I've learned that most teams have far more in them than the scoreboard shows. Here's the process we use to find it and unlock it.
- 1Assess. See what every rep and manager can really sell, benchmarked against 2.5 million salespeople.
- 2Coach. Every rep gets a 4-minute audio coaching session each morning, aimed at their own growth areas.
- 3Train. Your managers learn to lead with the data and coach every rep, every week.
Culture is the soil
Every leader wants more fruit: more pipeline, more closed deals, more confidence in the forecast. So we measure the fruit. But a farmer studies the soil first.
You can have the container: the CRM, the comp plan, the playbook, the dashboards. If the culture is unhealthy, the people planted in it will struggle to grow. Culture is what your salespeople absorb from leadership every day.
Three questions to ask this week
- 1What gets rewarded on your sales team?
- 2What gets tolerated?
- 3When someone brings bad news, is the truth welcomed or punished?
